“My dual passions have always been music & the creative arts. From my early teens I played in bands which is where I met my husband, Ian. In 1994 we moved to a rural setting and embarked on our life’s work designing and creating five acres of gardens for self-sufficiency and wildlife.
I started making bags during lockdown when my obsession with fabric started to outstrip my storage space and our need for any more soft furnishings. To my surprise our friends were keen to buy them so I opened an online shop and eventually joined the Sussex Arts Collective. I exhibit regularly at Gallery UNO in Seaford.
My bag designs are inspired by the fabrics I use, which are often recycled or re-purposed from curtains, upholstery, clothing or vintage materials. I enjoy the challenge of problem solving and refining my sewing skills to achieve what I imagine.”
