OPPORTUNITY: Register now for Artwave Festival

7 - 22 September 2024: Artwave is the annual festival of artists and makers from Lewes, Seaford, Newhaven and the surrounding villages. The event gives art lovers the chance to discover new work, meet artists and makers, and buy directly from them. Registration closes on 3 May and spaces are limited to 170 exhibitions so register today!

All artists and makers of all ages, and at all stages of their career, are encouraged to exhibit work within the Lewes District Council boundaries. The festival is inclusive, un-curated and there is no jury selection.

OPPORTUNITY: Register now for Eastbourne Summer Open Houses and Studios

The twice yearly Eastbourne Open Houses & Studios is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary this year, 25 - 26 May & 1 - 2 June and registration is open now.

They are looking to increase the number of participating artists and makers involved, so whether you are a painter, printmaker, photographer, ceramicist, jeweller, sculptor or indeed involved in any other creative discipline, you are encouraged join the event over the two consecutive weekends this summer.

Professional or enthusiastic amateur, first timer or seasoned veteran, participating in Open Houses remains an excellent way to show your work to interested visitors direct from your own home or studio. You’re able to communicate directly with people that like your work and there is no commission to be paid on any sales.

You could choose to exhibit with others whose work you admire as venues with more than one artist tends to attract more visitors. You simply pay a registration fee that gives your space in the brochure, an image of your work, contact details and 20 descriptive words. Unlike other open house events you pay for the venue and not the number of artists at your venue. Larger spaces are available.

Registration is now open at www.eastbourneartists.com or email juliansb100@gmail.com
