NOMINATE: Sussex Craft Awards 2025
Who do you think are the top makers in Sussex today?
This is the opportunity to celebrate the maker(s) you most admire. The winners will be showered with accolades at the Sussex Craft Awards - an exhibition and awards ceremony held as part of the inaugural Sussex Craft Week, 14 - 22 June. Let’s celebrate some amazing craftspeople!
Entry criteria:
• The craftsperson has created an outstanding body of work or project in the last twelve months
• They live, work or study anywhere in Sussex
• All craft forms are eligible
• You are welcome to nominate as many makers as you want on separate forms (but not yourself, that’s cheating!)
• There’s no entry fee
Deadline for nominations: 30 April 2025
ADULT WORKSHOP: Sculpting in Clay for Beginners | Sat 14 or Sat 21 June
Enjoy exploring shapes in clay and making a simple sculpted figure. A day of sculpting for beginners in clay with a life model, one pose, in a beautiful barn with sculptor Silvia MacRae Brown. All welcome!
One day courses: Sat 14 or Sat 21 June from 10am - 4pm
£90, plus £20 for materials

”I have a large space to rent (or multiple desk spaces) in a self contained annex at my home in Wallands, Lewes. The space is secure and quiet. For reference the white desks in the pictures are 140mm wide.
Ideal for artists, makers and creatives who don't create a lot of noise or use power tools, kilns or chemicals. Viewings welcome and please get in touch if you're interested. From £450pm”

OPPORTUNITY: Create South East - business support events
FREE lunchtime events on 29 and 30 April in Eastbourne and Newhaven - to inspire ambitious local creatives looking for support to grow their practice and or business. Funded by the Create South East programme.
