“I’m a landscape painter and I find inspiration both locally and further afield particularly the arctic region. I’ve visited Greenland and Iceland, and I’ve participated in a life-changing 3-week residency in Svalbard. There have been high and lows working with climate issues, the places I’ve visited are beautiful beyond imagination, however the speed of the changes happening there are devastating to witness. I care deeply and have great concern about our changing climate and the loss of natural habitats.
Closer to home, I love walking on the Downs and nearby woodland and my most recent collection of paintings is inspired by the landscape in and around Lewes. My paintings are very personal: the most recent work reflects the joy that nature brings me. I’m aware of the great fortune I have to be living here and to be spending my time doing something which brings me so much happiness.”
